Superbly Sunday

In blog on March 17, 2008 at 8:57 pm

Family outings are great but the outing I had today is even better! Well, not a full family outing because Joey had a Karate competition and he lost it. Oh well, it’s the first time, I’m sure he can whack the hell out of that guy in the future. Going on, we went to the Starhub Centre near Cuppage Plaza. My Father recieved two Starhub handphone vouchers and it will expire on 17/03/08, in other words, tomorrow. My Father just want a simple and good model but the place doesn’t have very cheap ones. At first, he wanted a Nokia but he found another model that suits him, which is the Samsung G600. At the same time, since the vouchers requires two contracts to be renewed, my Father told my Sister to get one as well. Her favourite at that time was the G-800, the big bulky 5-mp handphone. As Sis knows that I want the W960i, she told me to get it instead while she wait for another smaller Samsung model that boast a 5-mp camera. Thanks alot!

While we waited for the service counter to call my Father’s name, we watched National Security on TV. It provided great laughter and shaved a few dozen minutes of our waiting time. When the time is up, we proceed to the counter and got two phones, the Samsung D-880 and the Sony Ericsson W960i.

Both my Dad and I was satisfied with our purchase as my Father can now use two sim cards in one phone. As for me, Well, it’s a vast improvement from my older phone, especially with the new touch screen. So far, it’s pretty powerful and convenient, especially when it’s like ultra-light and the many new functions are pretty cool. I should have bought a Sony Ericsson in the first place!

Next Handphone Replacement Scheme 2008

In blog on March 16, 2008 at 12:41 pm

Dear Readers,

After one and a half year of usage. The Nokia N93 have proven to be a very ineffective companion at every aspect, especially in its photo-taking and general usage. It is like what Borat had mentioned, his very famous quote : Great! When I uh, buy my wife, at the start she was uh, cook good, her vazhïn work well, and she strong on plow. But after three years when she was fifteen, then she become weak, her voice become deep: BORAT BORAT, eh, she receive hair on chest, and vazhïn hang like sleeve of wizard. That is the same situation I am facing. Laggy Performance, very weak 3.2 megapixel camera, scratched on the hand phone. If the hand phone does not have the negative qualities mentioned earlier, its size won’t be taken into account. It was big and chunky, making it a burden to carry around.

Mirror, Mirror, On the wall, Which is the ugliest phone of them all!

The Day I Saw Mammoths

In blog on March 16, 2008 at 12:10 pm

Perhaps the dumbest title ever but I’ll explain why later.

The outing on 11th March Twothousand8 started at home when little Snoopy came into the car, preventing my sis,Joey and I from getting out of the house as soon as possible. We’re on our way to fetch Mum from the office. Obviously, Snoopy missed us. He came into the car, find some pillows to have fun with(err, dog owners should know what I mean)

Snoopy’s New Hair Cut

Looking pretty cute eh?

My First (Real) Job Ever.

In blog on March 13, 2008 at 11:28 pm

How am I going to start this post without even having the mood the blog. I just have to post everything out in case I forgot what I wanted to say. Hmm, here goes.

My very first job was a job as a salesperson, as a very inexperienced salesperson who have no skill in communication with complete strangers. Wait, since when do I have interpersonal skills with FRIENDS? This is proven by my very impressive track record of not having a call or an sms from anyone except for my family members. Oh well, going on to my very first job, it was at the Acer booth by challenger, flanked by both Harvey Norman and Courts. Buying stuff was never difficult, selling them was bloody difficult indeed.

My first impression of my so called colleagues on the training day was like omfg, it’s going to be a bad bad 4 days. This taught me stereotyping is never accurate. I thought they were proud, arrogant and disgusting Bengs but the first day proved my statement very wrong. Well, some were downright proud and arrogant, especially when they “helped boss to save money”. I wasn’t very happy with the most experienced worker as well, the first time I saw him, he took the keyboard and slam it on the table saying ” Wah Lao, Simi La* Jia* Keyboard sia”. That instant, my favorite phrase came into action, “Hate At First Sight”. Yes, Hokkien vulgarities are downright disgusting, now THAT is not a stereotype. Why talk Hokkien when you can speak English?

Going on the the Sales side, I learned pretty much, especially when those freaking basta…..

It just keep on ringing on my head.

Don’t freaking tell me that it doesn’t affect us Singaporeans, who wins or lose affects the world.

I’ll go for OBAMA, go for it!

Job Day 1

In blog on March 7, 2008 at 2:08 am

Someone can pretty well drive a truck over my N93 and I would be quite happy to witness it because the freaking alarm isn’t waking me up at 8.00am. Instead, I woke up at 9 freaking 30 and I have only a few minutes to prepare but in the end something crapped up in my stomach and it yearns for the toilet so much I have to visit it.

The trip to Suntec was quite a pleasant one, close to one hour because of the dreaded interchanges. Marcus and I reached the acer booth pretty much on time and we did some unpacking and stuff. At that time, everyone else was strangers. We didn’t know what was happening as no one told us the area to the left and right were not from challenger.

It started with a huge confusion and a grade-5 faggot made it worst(yes, 5 out of 5, the ultimate).

On The Road

In blog on March 5, 2008 at 11:59 am

I want to edit the photos of my Father’s birthday. BUT those should be done a week or two ago.
I want to edit the photos meant for my blog. BUT those should be done on the day itself
I want to complete the 5 existing drafts that I had made for the last 5 days. BUT then I will need 5 days to complete them.
I want to finish my new registered blog and publish it. BUT there is still lots of work to be done!
I want to start my ‘GET FIT’ exercise. BUT no matter how hard I try I still can’t find time.

Just freaking give me 5 more freaking hours a day, anyone?

I know I had stated previously that I had the worst holiday ever, remember the 2-weeks study break? It was almost similar this time, with procrastination of this and procrastination of that but this time, I’ve got a job, for real. Perhaps the first time I am going to leech money from the outside world. ALTHOUGH not much, it’s enough.

Yes, though I have not got the salary yet, I’ve been fantasizing real bad, especially when I dreamed of playing GTA4 on my main hall. Oh, not to mention that I mistaken my iPod nano for an iPod TOUCH by trying to touch the tiny screen and walked down the stairs thinking I was carrying a Macbook AIR without turning off my laptop, leaving tons of pictures on Photoshop victim to my Pavilon’s 10 secs battery life. LASTLY, I mistook my Nikon D-80 as the D3, trying to take photos of cars at an ISO of 1600, thinking the noise level would be at a minimum. Well, people call it fantasizing for a reason!

And NO, this is not some “Memoirs of a Spendthrift” post or something like that. I DO know how to control my money flow. Actually, come to think about it, I spend very less on clothing like t-shirts(saved $30-50), jeans(saved $50++? No idea) and shoes(saved $100-300). To be honest, I only shop for clothing only when I NEED them, which is around the CNY period. Call me a freaking fashion horror or whatever you call that but please, slippers and shorts are good enough! I don’t want to go to school dressing like I am participating in a catwalk or something.

The four BIG desires for year 2008.

Remember Number 1

In blog on March 2, 2008 at 12:29 pm

Not to be so exited my “loyal” readers of my blog. This post is nothing but a tiny post to remind myself of the fun days I had with my family and cousins(and maybe friends or rather, classmates, in the future). Yes, you’ve guessed it right, It’ll be named Remember Number ##, hopefully, one day, It’ll reach a thousand.
